In search Of History of TajMahal we found lot of Unknown facts. In this article we want to Highlight these truth of Taj Mahal.

Shah Jahan was known as the Shahab-ud-din Muhammad Khurram born to Emperor Jahangir on 5th January 1592 in Lahore, Punjab.

His first marriage was with Khandari Begum, when he was hardly 11–12 years of age due to some political reason and they had 2 daughters.
Arjumand Banu Begum( Mumtaz ) was his 2nd wife although she was the first girl with whom he was engaged.
They were engaged when Mumtaz was 14 and Shah Jahan was 15,after Shah Jahan saw her at meena bazaar so it was basically love at first sight.

Although the wedding took place after five years when Shah Jahan was 20 years of age. The other 5 marriages  too were political marriages.

NOTE:-A political marriage is a marriage made for political reasons. When two great families marry to merge their wealth/power.
They had 14 children and only 7 could attain adulthood.

Mumtaz died in the sixteenth year of her marriage on 17 June 1631 while giving birth to their fourteenth child
Gauhan Ara .

Some records indicate she died at the age of 36, while some suggest she died at 38. But the accepted fact is that she was having pregnancies practically
each year and died as a result of post pregnancy complications.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Shah Jahan treated her more as a Breeder cow rather than his wife. In the 14–16 years of marriage and multiple pregnancies,
he would have surely seen her wither away to a piece of meat, but still carried on with his lust and fathered multiple child through her.

Not only this to satiate his lust or sexual desires.
He had a harem of 5000 women, according to historical records he hated Hindu women so he did not married them but kept all Hindu girls in harem as sex slaves!

Shah Jahan on her deathbed had promised her that he would never remarry
and would build a mausoleum which has no precedent,
and thus the idea of The Taj Mahal came into the Emperor’s mind.

It is said that, after the demise of Mumtaz Mahal
the emperor went into an inconsolable grief and did not come out of it for over a year.
Then he started the construction of Taj Mahal which took 22 years to complete and stand in its perfect glory as it is seen today.
This is the True Story behind the making of Taj Mahal, One of the Seven Wonders of the World.

But there are some other Facts comming out from Peter Mundy

According to Peter Mundy another European traveller, Shah Jahan had an illicit sexual
relation with his elder daughter Jahan Ara, she was 15-16 when Mumtaz died. She was like her mother.
She resembled Mumtaz Mahal remarkably.
she was very beautiful, sensuous and had attractive figure.

According to memoirs of Jahan Ara daughter of Shah Jahan, Jahan Ara always hated her father,
she saw Prophet Mohammed in her dreams and thought she could choose the religious path.
But at her younger age, she became a sex object of her father Shah Jahan!

Killed daughter’s boy-friends

On one occasion, Shah Jahan got to know about it.
He went to his room in night.
The poor guy hid into the bathroom.
Shah Jahan ordered his eunuchs to kill him.

On another occasion, he hugged a guy who had proposed to Jahan Ara.
Then he gave him a Paan (betel-leaf) to eat.
By the time the fellow crossed the doors of durbar to ride on his coach, he collapsed and died.
